Every live StayTurn guide for short-term-rental hosts, in one place. Each guide is general information, not legal advice. The guides cover turn preparation, people, numbers, decisions and the stay record.
The turn
- A turnover checklist for short-term rental hosts: a repeatable turnover routine covering inspection, photos, notes, and cleaner handoff.
The people
- What your cleaner should capture at every turnover: what to ask a cleaner to photograph and note, and how to keep it tied to the right stay.
- The cleaner handoff: how photos reach the record without an account: a per-stay link for cleaner and co-host photos, with no login to your tools.
The numbers
- What a turnover actually costs: a record you can check: recording the real cost of a turn per stay, and keeping your numbers apart from published context.
- Public context with provenance: using published data without mixing it into your numbers: keeping the source and retrieval date on every public table, beside your own figures.
Free tool for this layer: the Turn Cost Calculator works out what a turn costs from the numbers you enter.
The decisions
- Hosting decisions, recorded apart from guest feedback: welcome gifts, discounts, make-goods, and disclosures, recorded on the stay they concern.
The record
- Portfolio readiness: knowing which stay record is incomplete before you need it: checking record completeness across every property on a schedule.
- Owning your records: backup, export, and the folder you control: dated record downloads with a printable summary and CSV files, backup packs, and a folder you choose.
Free tool for this layer: the Stay Record Completeness Checklist reviews how complete your current stay records are.
When something goes wrong
Damage, deposit, AirCover, and chargeback situations start from the record you already keep.

- Security deposit dispute evidence checklist for hosts: a step-by-step packet build for deposit disputes, from baseline photos to replacement quotes.
- Airbnb AirCover claim documentation timeline: the reporting and escalation windows in Airbnb's Host Damage Protection terms, and what to prepare inside them.
- Proving guest smoking damage: how to document an odor problem with physical evidence, statements, and remediation invoices.
- Chargeback evidence guide for direct booking hosts: the records banks look for when a direct-booking guest disputes a charge.
- Mid-term rental move-out documentation guide: move-in baselines, move-out inspections, and separating wear and tear from damage on 30-plus-day stays.
