The turnover is where records are made
Everything you might one day need to show, from condition and damage to cleaning and maintenance, happens in the hours between checkout and the next check-in. A checklist keeps that window from depending on memory.
The checklist
- Walk every room in the same order. A fixed route means nothing gets skipped on a busy day.
- Photograph as you walk. Wide shots per room, close shots of anything worn, stained, or broken.
- Note anything unusual the same day. Two sentences written now beat a paragraph reconstructed next month.
- Log consumables and small repairs. Bulbs, batteries, filters, and the receipts for them.
- Confirm the cleaner's pass. If someone else turns the property, capture their photos and notes in the same file as yours.
- Close the record. Tie the photos, notes, and receipts to the stay that just ended, with dates.
Make it the same every time
The value is in the repetition. When every turnover produces the same small, dated record, questions about any one stay have an answer waiting.
StayTurn turns this checklist into a habit. It is a $39 one-time kit that runs on your device, keeps every turnover's photos, receipts, and notes by stay, and exports a date-stamped packet when asked. See the Solo kit.
