Airbnb: a service-fee transition for software-connected hosts

Airbnb says hosts using property management software who have not yet moved to its single service fee will switch on October 13. The announcement describes a 15.5% host-paid fee, with exceptions including 16% for listings in Brazil and Mexico. It applies to reservations made after the switch.
Check your setup: Review your account notice, fee structure, channel-manager pricing, discounts and promotions. This announcement does not establish that every host or every existing booking is affected.

Vrbo: host cancellations and waiver deadlines

Vrbo's policy covers host cancellations, including double bookings and some failures to provide access or required arrival information. Depending on the circumstances, consequences can include fees, a listing suspension or loss of Premier Host status. A waiver request must be submitted within 10 days of cancellation; eligibility and fee exceptions depend on the circumstances and location.
Check your setup: Review calendar connections and arrival instructions. If a cancellation is unavoidable, read the waiver criteria and preserve supporting facts before the deadline.

Hospitable: Tax Center and Tasks App updates
Product release announced September 4, 2026.
Hospitable announced a Tax Center showing tax settings and which channels have remittance coverage. The same release adds access to past tasks and Android speech-to-text in the Tasks App, plus per-channel Agoda availability controls.

Turno: plan eligibility and cleaner-payment fees

Turno distinguishes cleaners found through its marketplace from cleaners you bring yourself. Subscription eligibility and payment fees depend on that connection and your property setup. Marketplace cleaner payments must go through Turno. A free subscription does not mean every payment or service is free.
